“Located on the gardens of the “Universitary Pedagogic Complex” (at Campo Alegre Street), the Burmester Palacete is dated from the end of the XIX century and belonged to the german Gustavo Burmester. The garden presents the same romantic tracing from the Campo Alegre Farm. The house, with a cross plant and with a hollow at its back, was confiscated by the State during the 1st World War and in 1950 was sold to the Oporto's city council. Six years later was given to the University of Porto.”
